Endings are not endings, just new beginnings

My sweet sis is going through a tough time right now. She is at the end of something in her life. But I told her not to look at it as an ending, but a new beginning.

Endings are always hard, specially when you don't understand them. But when they are inevtiable and it is truly the end, turn a positive light on and say this is a new beginning.

And there is no wrong age to begin a new beginning, a new adventure. The world is a pretty big place and I bet like that Eat, Pray and Love movie, (we don't have to go to Italy or Bali, I don't think, though it would be really cool if we all could) everyone can reach out with their souls and find new energy and new resources to feed their souls.

The past can be very hard to leave behind, but when it does more damage than good, it must be done. Now is the time to take advantage of what the world has to offer. New places to see, new people to meet, more love for yourself, there is so much excitement out there just waiting for you.

So when you come to an ending, release the pain that it brings with it and look to the new beginning with renewed joy. Yes, it will be tough at first, but if you make a promise to yourself to stand straight and tall and march on through the bog of pain, just think of the beautiful meadow that will be waiting for you on the other side. And as you are marching through the bog, as long as you have your eyes always forward, you will see glimpes of that beautiful meadow and with each step forward it will become more clear and you will know that it is attainable. Not only is it attainable, but you deserve it. You deserve a place of beauty and love.

But know this, everytime you look behind you, you will lose sight of that beautiful meadow and you might start to think that the shorter and easier distance is backwards. But it isn't. With each step forward your journey forward will get easier and easier.

Let those that are around you and that love you help you. Do not let the past intrude upon your progress, if you have worries, talk to the people who truly love you and want the best for you. And do not be ashamed to ask them for help. I know they will do it with an open and joyful heart. Those that love you best, only want the best for you. Know you deserve it and say to yourself, Damn it, I'm going to get it! And the more you say that to yourself, the more you will know it is true.
