Facebook

It took me a while to get on the band wagon for this social networking site. But my daughter and my friend wanted me to get on so I could play Farmville with them. I'm sorry I am not a computer game person so I could never get into Farmville - I did try the zoo one, I think all my animals are probably dead by now - it just isn't my thing.

But what is my thing on Facebook is the friends and family I have found. In the beginning I had a few friends and family, mainly my daughter and her family and my yahoo email found my others on there. But then I started going through my friends and family friends. I found so many people, my cousin Michael, my cousin Johnny and just so many more. I found family/friends from my first marriage and reconnected with a very important person from high school.

Then just yesterday going through my cousin Johnny's friends I found old friends from high school. It's so cool!

I know I don't have to toot Facebook's horn, but even MySpace didn't allow me all this. I have reconnected with so many wonderful people from my past and I am loving it.

It is amazing seeing people 30 years later. We have all changed, but what is cool is that through this website we can stay connected. I just found out they are having a 30th reunion. I think they had them every 10 years but I was such a gypsy I am not surprised they couldn't find me. I am seriously thinking of going to it. I wasn't the most popular in high school, but I have so many fond memories. Just today I found my very best friend all through high school there - Carol Derrick. It is amazing that she is doing so well.

I am planning on keeping in contact with all my friends and family through here. I wish Facebook was around when I was all by myself here in Vegas. I really could have used the support of my friends then. But as I always, better late than never.

If there is someone you want to find, put there name in the Facebook search. Maybe you'll get lucky like I did.

Have a great day!!!
